There is great joy for me when it becomes so clear how my work in Society of Souls deepens relationship. I was going to say my relationship to life and then realized the belief I feel true is; relationship is life. And though I may have heard, read, understood, could talk about it, it was really never one of those " I really get it" things until now.

Anyway, it is so important to me to see how my longing, interest and investment in spiritual matters actually matters in the world of matter (say that 3 times fast) and is not simply a disheartened distraction. I feel fortunate to have noticed it's practicality a few days after attending the Society of Souls All School Meeting. The theme was compassion. I thoroughly enjoyed the ASM and also felt that I may have not taken in as much as I would like.

My muse had a 2-for-1 special the other day- 1 inspiration yielded 2 prosems, Enjoy! Comments and criticism welcomed.

EMERGING

The armor is off, battered and tarnished, no longer of use to a warrior
weary of battle- for steel is no protection from the arrows of past woundings.
Scars of trauma are eviscerated by Her gentle touch. She illuminates
where the candle of hope blackens.
Holding, holding, holding....

Hu-hsi Shin sat at the roughly hewn table, his grizzled chin now emerging
as he removed his great kabuto and placed it down reverently, pausing to run his finger down the scar cleaved into the helm by the yariate of his longtime enemy. Had this not been the kabuto placed upon him by the Duke's own armorer- that scar would have been across his skull.
As he removed his do, his flesh now was exposed, wrinkled like a newborn.

Just attended THE MYSTERY EXPERIENCE weekend with Tim Freke here in San Miguel de Allende Mexico. Delighted to discover, when he came to have dinner with us in our home the next evening, that he knows Jason and that they enjoyed meeting and connecting with each other. And then today to check in here again and find him on the Gems and Amulets link. For any of you who have the chance, I highly recommend checking him out.

ARRIVING IN CUZCO

“It’s a week and a half away now. The memories come. Hearing the traffic on the streets in front of the hotel, early in the morning. The air is cold. I can smell it. The feeling of rightness when the plane landed in Cuzco Airport. Walking across the runway to the terminal. Feeling in every part of me the sense of being (having come) home — again. “Greetings, old friends”, I say to the mountains. They say, “Welcome home, daughter.” Everything else falls away — the tensions, the stresses, confusions of putting the trip together; it’s gone, doesn’t matter now. Whoever, whatever I am elsewhere falls away, too. Honed down, stripped away, I’m there completely. Jaguar, not hunting, not even stalking really, just alive with the quiet, deep excitement of anticipated adventure. My physical body has caught up to where my spirit has always been, never left. We go through the gate, get our bags, get on the bus for Cuzco.”
